The Ubiquiti Wave Pico, designated as the Wave-Pico, is a highly compact and efficient 60 GHz Point-to-MultiPoint (PtMP) station, part of Ubiquiti's cutting-edge Wave Technology series. This device stands out due to its small form factor and robust capabilities, making it ideal for dense deployment environments where space and power efficiency are crucial. A key feature of the Wave Pico is its dual-mode functionality, supporting both PtMP and Point-to-Point (PtP) configurations. This versatility is enhanced by its integrated 5 GHz weatherproof backup radio, which provides additional reliability and connectivity resilience, maintaining service with a maximum throughput of 800 Mbps under challenging environmental conditions.
With a maximum throughput of 2 Gbps (1 Gbps duplex), the Wave Pico ensures high-speed data transmission. It is capable of reaching a link range of up to 1.3 km when paired with the Wave AP and up to 0.9 km with the Wave AP Micro, making it suitable for both urban and rural applications. The device's build includes UV stabilized polycarbonate materials, ensuring long-term durability against UV exposure and other environmental factors. Its compact size does not compromise its performance or durability, as evidenced by its IPX6 weatherproof rating which protects it against harsh weather conditions.
The Wave Pico is also equipped with a dual-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1 GHz and 512 MB of DDR3L memory, which are sufficient for handling multiple network tasks efficiently. Its power supply is versatile, supporting both 44–54V DC and 22–27V DC ranges through passive Power over Ethernet (PoE), which simplifies the cabling and power infrastructure.
Installation and configuration are simplified with Bluetooth connectivity, allowing for straightforward setup through the UISP Mobile app. This feature, combined with comprehensive tools for antenna alignment and network diagnostics, ensures efficient deployment and maintenance.Thanks to UISP app you can centrally manage your networks and clients with ease. Simply organize your clients' plans, setup billing and invoicing, and grow your customer base. UISP application allows viewing network topology, advanced data analytics, quickly set up devices and manage them on the go with a powerful mobile app.
