Access Reader G2

The Ubiquiti UA-G2 Access Reader G2 is a compact, second-generation NFC card reader designed for both entry and exit management in secure environments. It's equipped with hand-wave door unlocking functionality, allowing users to unlock doors with a simple gesture. This reader supports unlocking via an NFC card or the UniFi Identity mobile app, enhancing user convenience and security. It also features entry and exit greeting messages, adding a personalized touch to the access control experience.

The device can be connected to the UniFi Access Hub using Power over Ethernet (PoE), simplifying installation and reducing the need for additional power supplies. It boasts an IP55 weather resistance rating, ensuring it can operate in environments with temperatures ranging from -30 to 45°C (-22 to 113°F), making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

The card reader is wall mountable, the gang box is included. UA-G2 is equipped with proximity sensor, status LED, factory reset button and the built-in speaker. Its enclosure is made of durable polycarbonate and glass, designed for in-wall or gang box mounting. The device includes a 10/100 MbE RJ45 port for networking, BLE 4.1 for connectivity, and supports a power supply through PoE. It's designed to consume a maximum of 5W of power and offers protection against electrostatic discharge. The NFC technology supports a wide range of standards and technologies, ensuring compatibility with a variety of NFC cards and tags for versatile access control solutions​.

The reader supports the following NFC technology: MIFARE Classic, MIFAREPlus, MIFARE Ultralight, MIFARE DESFire and NFC Tag 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. The device is managed in the UniFi Access application: Version 1.5.9 and later.
